We had the pleasure of visiting the Aloe Vera Farm with the tourist guide class from San Cristóbal, it was our first time meeting them, and they were incredibly friendly!
The farm had an impressive 20,000 aloe vera plants set against beautiful landscapes. We got to taste an aloe vera flower, which was surprisingly sweet and reminded us of peas. During the visit, we also learned about the many uses of aloe vera and its various health benefits. We discovered fascinating facts about the plant itself, like how there are different varieties, some of which can be toxic if eaten!
We tried both fresh aloe vera and an aloe vera drink. Although we weren’t big fans of the taste, it was definitely a fun and unique experience. To wrap up, we visited the shop where we purchased a variety of aloe-based products, and we were even gifted a small bar of soap.
Overall, it was a fascinating and enjoyable experience!
